The programme entitled ‘Chamatkaar-4’ was held today in which free verse poetry of Ashok Angurana was set to music and was presented by renowned singers of J&K. The programme was organized by Dogri Sanstha and music of poems was composed by veteran musician and composer Brij Mohan. This was the fourth such programme in the series in which free verse poetry was set to music by Brij Mohan. In the earlier programmes, poetry of Padma Sachdev, Chhatrapal, Shashi Pathania, Lalit Magotra and Ved Rahi has been presented.
Dogri Sanstha, the premier literary and cultural organization of the state, in a specially convened meeting of its Office Bearers welcomed the reported initiative of the Central Govt. to set up a delimitation commission for Assembly seats in the J&K state.
Dogri Sanstha Jammu, celebrating its Platinum Jubilee, organised a simple but impressive programme in which Ashok Dutta was conferred with Prof. Ram Nath Shastri Memorial Award for the year 2019 for his book of short stories “Sochen Di Reehl”. The award was given away by Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Hon’ble Advisor to the Hon’ble Governor of J&K State, who was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
The website of Dogri Sanstha, the oldest and premier Literary Organization of J&K State, was launched today to kick start the Platinum Jubilee’s celebrations of the formation of Dogri Sanstha. Dogri Sanstha has completed 75 years of its existence. The function was held at Press Club Jammu in which Ashwini Kumar, the President of Press Club of Jammu and a veteran journalist was the Chief Guest whereas Zorawar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary of Press Club was the Guest of Honour.
