The website of Dogri Sanstha, the oldest and premier Literary Organization of J&K State, was launched today to kick start the Platinum Jubilee’s celebrations of the formation of Dogri Sanstha. Dogri Sanstha has completed 75 years of its existence. The function was held at Press Club Jammu in which Ashwini Kumar, the President of Press Club of Jammu and a veteran journalist was the Chief Guest whereas Zorawar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary of Press Club was the Guest of Honour.
Dogri Sanstha, the premier literary and cultural organization of the state, in a specially convened meeting of its Office Bearers welcomed the reported initiative of the Central Govt. to set up a delimitation commission for Assembly seats in the J&K state.
Veteran Dogri writer and well known artiste of national repute, Padamshree Narsingh Dev Jamwal was today conferred with the prestigious Dinu Bhai Pant Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award – 2019. The ceremony was held in the Abhinav Theatre in a jam-packed hall.
This year’s Dinoo Bhai Pant Memorial Life Time Achievement Award will be given to veteran Dogri writer and a multifaceted personality in the field of art, Narsingh Dev Jamwal. This was announced jointly by Dr. Manoj Sharma, Chairperson, Dinoo Bhai Pant Memorial Trust and Prof. Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha, Jammu.
Dogri Sanstha Jammu, celebrating its Platinum Jubilee, organised a simple but impressive programme in which Ashok Dutta was conferred with Prof. Ram Nath Shastri Memorial Award for the year 2019 for his book of short stories “Sochen Di Reehl”. The award was given away by Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Hon’ble Advisor to the Hon’ble Governor of J&K State, who was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
In a specially convened meeting by Dogri Sanstha, Jammu for the selection of Prof. Ram Nath Shastri Memorial Award 2019, the members of jury declared “Cheten Di Reehl”, a collection of Dogri short stories by Ashok Dutta as the best amongst the shortlisted books for this purpose and conferred this prestigious annual award to this book.
Dogri Sanstha, Jammu organized a Sangeet-Sandhya in connection with Platinum Jubilee of its formation. The programme was dedicated to great Urdu poet Late Pt. Vidya Ratan Aasi, who passed away only a day earlier. 2 minutes silence was observed to pray for the peace of the departed soul.
